The reel originally begun by Harold Reynolds and first referred to as "The
Reynolds Reel" and later in its legacy as the "The Stanton", passed on to Cliff
Adcock and then retired, has been brought back to life and available for
sale. Bob Roberts, writes about his meeting with Ray Hyland, the new
manufacturer and owner of the Adcock Stanton Centrepin Reels Ltd. company.
I think you'll find the article both intriguing (from a historical angle) and thought provoking
(as in, you'll end up thinking, "I want one!").

As a owner of a nearly 30 year
old Adcock Stanton mooching reel, I can attest to both the quality and
fish ability inherent within these fine pieces of pin angling history. My
fondness for the Stanton centrepin reel runs deep as it was the first I
purchased to "cut my teeth" in this fine art of drift fishing. The
improvements made by Hyland and mentioned within Robert's article
published November 22, 2008 by The Star Newspaper, are notable. I'm
extremely anxious to give the new version a "spin" and will have a full
review including stream performance observations in our gear review
section shortly.
