Infinity Rod Creations has forever been a strong supporter of the centre-pin / float fishing enthusiast by building one of kind custom float rods that match the uniqueness of the reels and the sport.  With rod building projects being equally divided among  float, fly, & switch rods, it is to be expected that I'll field the occasional inquiry, "What is centre-pin fishing?  How is it different than fly fishing?  Isn't that just a big fly reel? What is the cause for the excitement surrounding this technique?"  Knowing  the addiction associated with achieving the perfect long distance drag-free drift and the thrill of fighting these beautiful fish via a reel without drag, I felt it would be beneficial to support an area that would educate my web visitors to the advantages of this technique and answer the inquiries and questions.

In this section,  I will attempt to share my experiences on the river and anything that I feel may be of benefit regarding centre-pin angling.  I am by no means an expert, as I believe there is always something to learn, but feel that my experiences may just help shorten the learning curve for others.  As a student of the sport of fishing, reading water, and centre-pin angling, I encourage you to take a journey of your own and cherish the many memories that trout angling has to offer both you and the family!

In addition to this area and the articles listed, I would highly recommend that you perform a web search to better educate yourself on this exciting technique of drift fishing.

Sincerely,

Domenic Federico
