     Here's the deal:  These rods will be built with the expertise and attention to detail that is my reputation, however, they will be more on the "plain - Jane / basic" frills end of the spectrum.  Customization beyond the specifications listed below is available and at additional cost(s). 

 

     The long story short...I've searched for quite a while seeking a  blank with the characteristics that embody great performance attributes of a quality small trout, smallmouth, small catfish, summer centre-pin/ float fishing / drift rod.  Ordering, prototyping, building and delivering many to the hands of satisfied customers over the years has allowed me to find several blanks that I like and recommend.  It took dozens of rods and builds to find a multi-piece blank that was light, nimble, moderate - full flexing, properly rated, affordable and readily available.  There are many blanks available that make for great summer time small fish drift rods, but not that fit within all facets of the criteria I had specified.  Until now!   From a referral, I finally came across a blank in a 10' length that had the action and aesthetic properties that I've dreamt about.  Rated accurately for 3/4 fly line, having a moderate action, translucent brown/merlot color, not a "blem", and in a 3 piece configuration, this rod is the "cat's meow".   If you're seeking a rod that is extremely light in the hand, pleasing to the eye, great for the small trout in the 8-20" range, and has a multi-piece configuration....LOOK NO FURTHER!
